Guide to Setting up Facebook Business Manager Account

Facebook's Business Manager streamlines the process of administrating and controlling access to your Pages, Ad accounts, Instagram accounts, Pixels, Custom Audiences... but it can be a PITA to set up, here are some walk-throughs to help!

Facebook Business Manager’s structure allows you to collaborate with people within, and outside of your company without relying on personal profiles for granting access. It allows Admins to securely manage who has access to what centrally, meaning employees and partners can be added, monitored and removed as required.

The process of setting up a Business Manager for your company is pretty straightforward, but it should be carried out by someone in a senior position at the company as they will be designated as the account owner going forward, although other Admins can be added.

The person who sets up the account should already be an Admin on the Pages and Ad accounts you want to pull into the Business Manager as this will make the process much simpler.

As part of the signup process you have the option to set a Primary Page for your Business Manager, this “the Facebook Page that best represents the business you work for, and isn’t a personal or client Page”.
